Every teacher on ReachShikhara goes through a 3-step verification: (1) Document submission — Aadhaar, PAN, degree certificates, teaching credentials. (2) Admin document review. (3) A 15–20 minute video verification call on our platform. Only approved teachers appear on the platform.

No. All teachers must pass our verification process. We require valid identity documents, relevant academic qualifications, and a video verification interview. We reject applications that don't meet our standards. This ensures every teacher listed on the platform is genuine and qualified.

Yes. Only students who have attended at least one paid class with a teacher can leave a review. Reviews cannot be paid for or removed by teachers. This ensures all ratings and feedback reflect real experiences.

Students use two cameras: their main device (laptop/tablet) for face-to-face video, and their smartphone placed over their notebook so the teacher can see their writing in real time. It's like being in the same room. Teachers use a digital writing pad as a live whiteboard — no more squinting at a shared screen.

Yes. All paid classes are automatically recorded and stored for 30 days. Students and parents can rewatch sessions to revise. Recordings are also used for quality assurance and dispute resolution if needed.

Teachers can assign homework and set practice tests inside the platform after each class. Students submit their work digitally. Teachers grade and provide feedback. Parents can see homework status and scores in the parent dashboard.

Parents have full visibility into: class attendance records, homework submission and scores, practice test results, teacher notes and feedback, and upcoming scheduled classes. The dashboard is accessible any time from a browser — no app needed.

You pay for a class in advance. Your money is held in a secure escrow account and released to the teacher only after the class is completed. This protects both students and teachers. If the teacher doesn't show up, you get a full automatic refund within 24 hours.

Teacher no-show: 100% refund within 24 hours, automatically. Unused classes: Full refund within 7 days of purchase. After first paid class: Full refund within 48 hours if unsatisfied. After multiple classes: Pro-rata refund on remaining unused classes. Refunds are processed within 72 hours.

Indian students: UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm), net banking, debit card, credit card. International students: Stripe (USD, GBP, AED, KWD) and PayPal. All payments are SSL-encrypted and processed by trusted payment gateways.

Absolutely. You can book free demos with multiple teachers until you find the right fit. There's no obligation to continue with a teacher after the demo. Each teacher allows one free demo per new student.

As many as the teacher's availability allows and you need. Some students have 1 class per week, others have daily classes before exams. You set the schedule with your teacher directly after the demo.

Teachers receive weekly payouts every Friday via NEFT/IMPS directly to their Indian bank account. All international student payments are converted to INR by ReachShikhara — teachers always receive INR regardless of the student's currency.

ReachShikhara charges a 15–20% platform commission. Teachers keep 80–85% of every class fee. This is among the lowest commission rates in the online tutoring industry. The exact rate is shown clearly when you set up your profile.

Yes. Teachers set their own hourly rate. You decide what you charge — we never dictate pricing. Indian students pay ₹500–₹1,500 per class; international rates are in USD, AED, or GBP. You can update your rate any time.

Yes. Several of our teachers are experienced in the IGCSE and Cambridge curriculum, in addition to CBSE and ICSE. Filter by board when searching to find IGCSE-specialist teachers.

Yes. International students can request a formal invoice for every payment. Contact us at support@reachshikhara.com with your order ID, and we'll send a PDF invoice within 24 hours that you can submit for school or employer reimbursement.
